The problem with the Wii U is that any third party support will likely mean multiplatform games that are tweaked for the console. That won't get people to buy a Wii U if they already have a PS3 or Xbox 360. Exclusives will be even more important for the Wii U than a normal console launch due to well established competition that compete similarly with it.
New and different games games don't necessarily mean recently released. I only played the original Metal Gear Solid this generation on my 60 GB PS3. I didn't own PlayStation, so was very happy to enjoy older games that I missed out on when I was narrow-mind Nintendo fanboy as a kid.
As I witness more and more console generations, I have a growing appreciation of PC gaming. Practically every game released in my lifetime can still be played on my current computer. ...
This one reason why I loved my PS3. I have been able games across all 3 PlayStation generations. Shoot, I only just played Metal Gear Solid this generation when they were about to release MGS4. I finally understood what I had been missing out on.
I gripe about this a lot on N4G, but I hope some kind of system arises that ensures games don't have an effective expiration date. PC games, as long as the hardware meets the minimum, can play practically any game ever produc...
I hope they rename it because the 'Versus' always made it sound like a spin off rather than a full fledged game. If they outright named it something like Final Fantasy XV it will get more recognition. Also if it is actually really good, then calling it FF XV will help wash away some of the bad press that they have gained through FF XIII.
While I doubt it would be renamed to a main entry FF, I do think changing the 'Versus' would be in its benefit. Honestly,...
I think the SingStar issue only pertains to European gamers. I don't think I have actually ever seen a physical copy of SingStar over here in the US.
No, it's just proper pre-crime.

*shudders*
At least they tailored the cover art for the awards, rather than painting over everything.
@LOGICWINS
It's also annoying to know in 10 years or so games that are currently coming out will likely be inferior when played in future. I can slap Super Metroid into any SNES and it will play the same today as it did 15 years ago. Who knows how long Sony or Microsoft will support these patches when this generation is over.
I hope some kind of entity will arise that manages to preserve games along with all of their downloadable content just like there ...
Printing stuff on top of the the original cover is a reason why I wouldn't buy this edition. I want the original cover art and nothing else.
I remember when they released the updated Uncharted 2 with all the awards on the box. It was ridiculous! Things were stamped all over the place.
While this is perfectly logical for Nintendo, this could also foreshadow the increase in prices for other retail games on the next Sony and Microsoft consoles.
However I don't think prices will go up anymore in the US for sometime because $60 is already pushing it to a lot of people. Publishers realize that we are unlikely to spend money like that all in one purchase, so I think DLC will likely play an even larger role in the next generation.
@killerhog
All they did was mention that the word 'Allah' was on the floor. Nothing else transpired. It is well within their right to bring this to the developer's attention as it is for you complain about the developer's response.
Now this story would be far more interesting if the developers made a statement that they made had a mistake and in response put more names of gods on the floor so that everyone can be equally offended. This woul...
Agreed. If they announce DLC characters, then I won't buy until the game of the year edition comes out. I am fully prepared to wait as always. By being a year out of sync with games I get everything cheap and in their complete form.
Now if they are free DLC we could talk. However I still don't like spreading games out over ephemeral network services.
Newegg is another company that I have had a lot of luck with. From my experience companies that only have an online presence seem to be much more understanding than those that have brick and mortar stores.
I hope there is a crossover stage with the Giant Enemy Crab.
Fun read that makes you think a bit. Games typically provide you a way to win, lose, or tie. However this framework happens to limit us. I wonder if there are any games out there that break the mold of the life or death or the win or lose mentalities. Are those games actually enjoyable?
The closest thing I can think of at the moment is Journey. While there is aspects of preserving your life (not sure if you can die in the game), my goal in the game was to simply explore ...
@Shadonic
Remember everyone else will be down with the 'flu' at this time. It is very probable that you could have the 'flu' also...
Anything from the previous generation shouldn't put a strain on streaming requirements. Their max resolution was 480p. Now current gen and beyond might suffer from compression.
@Captain_Freud
Finally, another person who liked ODST. I really enjoyed ODST's somber setting and the overworld you traverse to get to each memory mission. It may not have been the best Halo for Co-op, but I found it to be the most enjoyable game out of the series to sit and down a relax to. That game was great for unwinding after a busy day.
Closest thing will probably be the Mechromancer and her Deathtrap once it is released.
Rant:
I still want to finish this game, but the disc despite new is unreadable in my Xbox. The stupid paper sleeve that Microsoft packaged the last disc in apparently leaves a residue that prevents the laser of many Xboxs from reading the disc.
On topic:
Dream sequences were the best part of the game to me. Every dream was heart moving and really pulled me in.
